Making a claim

If you already have an MDUConnect insurance policy with us and need to get in touch to make a claim, our UK-based teams of experts will help you.

You will be supported and advised by senior clinicians (doctors and dentists), insurance experts, and gain access to a media team, if required.

Get in touch

Please email the following details to our claims team at mduconnectclaims@themdu.com:

  • the name, sex and date of birth of the patient if it is a claim (but not if it is a complaint/adverse incident etc)
  • the name of the claimant and their relationship to the patient (if different from the patient and if known) (again, this is only relevant for an actual claim)
  • the date of insured's first awareness of this matter, including awareness of any circumstances which are likely to give rise to a claim
  • the date of receipt of first communication or verbal complaint from third party
  • the date of treatment if known
  • the practitioner(s) and other staff involved and present whereabouts
  • the other parties involved
  • the other insurers/mdos involved
  • your MDUConnect policy number
  • the date and time that the incident occurred
  • details of the incident* including any corresponded received from the patient/claimant or their representative, or any court documents.


*Generally, documents sent to our claims handling or legal teams should be sent securely in their original form with no information removed.
